Research

I do freelance business research focusing mainly on small projects with quick turnaround time. Topics include market research, competitive analysis, corporate strategy, and tracking down individuals. I also do intensive research and writing for the American Political Lansdcape series of encyclopedia put out by Oryx Press. I have contributed to the Encyclopedia of American Political Parties, the Encyclopedia of Women in American Politics and the Encyclopedia of Minorities in American Politics. I have worked as a reference librarian at Shoreline Community College and answered reference questions at the Internet Public Library.

I do my research using Internet and library sources. I can prepare and deliver reports as formatted documents, email, or HTML with links to relevant sources. Here is an example of one of my research projects:

Ballard, a community analysis: Using census data, community interviews and other sources, I created a community analysis of the Ballard area which could be used by the local library to assist in collection development and program development.
