In 2025?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In an effort to blog more and also to see if my &#8220;classic mode&#8221; of WordPress can handle emojis (update: it can&#8217;t, further update:YES IT CAN), here is a short story in bullet points and emoji.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I found an old copy of my college thesis on generic &#8220;he&#8221; pronouns because <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/librarian.bsky.social\/post\/3mavyzfdm2k2a\">someone was talking about that concept on Bluesky<\/a>. Was very excited how quickly I could find that document. &#x1F973;\n<li>Was able to scan it (thanks, my local library!) and share it with researchers.  &#x1F913;\n<li>Decided to ask <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hampshire.edu\/\">my alma mater<\/a> if they&#8217;d like a copy for their archives  &#x1F91D;\n<li>They said sure, there&#8217;s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hampshire.edu\/library\/archives-and-special-collections\/div-iii-archive-submission-instructions\">self-serve digital archive tool<\/a>, just use my college email address. &#x1F4E5;\n<li>I haven&#8217;t used my college email address in forever, no idea if it still works. &#x1F9D3;\n<li>Six IT tickets to get it going again. &#x1F39F;\n<li>Upload thesis. Scrutinize language as to whether AI can be trained on it (probably). &#x2B06;\n<li>Log in to new email account. &#x1F4E7;\n<li>SURPRISE, I HAVE ANOTHER GMAIL ADDRESS NOW &#x1F62D;\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jessamyn.com\/journal\/2026\/01\/a-new-gmail-address-in-2025\" rel=\"bookmark\" title=\"Permalink to A new gmail address?
